ANGELUS: THE NEED TO READ THE GOSPEL

ANGELUS: THE NEED TO READ THE GOSPEL

Vatican City, 27 July 2014 (VIS) – As on every Sunday, Pope Francis appeared at the window of his study to pray the Angelus with the faithful gathered in St. Peter’s Square. The Pontiff, as in the Mass celebrated the day before in Caserta, spoke about the two parables about the kingdom of Heaven: the jewel merchant who finds a pearl of infinite value and sells everything he owns to buy it, and the farmer who chances upon hidden treasure and sells all his land to buy the field where it lies. Neither the merchant nor the farmer have any doubt about their actions as they are aware of the incomparable value of what they have found.

“It is the same with the kingdom of God”, explained the bishop of Rome [Notice how rarely the word “Pope” is used]. “He who finds it has no doubt, he knows that he has found what he sought and awaited, and which answers his most authentic aspirations. It is truly like this: those who know Jesus, who encounter Him personally, are fascinated, attracted by such goodness, such truth, such beauty, and all this in great humility and simplicity. Seeking and finding Jesus: this is the greatest treasure of all!”.

“How many people, how many saints, reading the Gospel with an open heart, have been so struck by Jesus that they have converted to Him. Let us think of St. Francis of Assisi; he was already a Christian, but lukewarm, a “rose-water” Christian. When he read the Gospel, in a decisive moment during his youth, he encountered Jesus and discovered the Kingdom of God, and from then on all his dreams of earthly glory vanished. The Gospel lets you know the true Jesus, it lets you know the living Jesus; it speaks to your heart and changes your life. And from then on, he left everything. You can effectively change the type of life you lead, or continue to do what you did before, but you are different, you are born again: you have found that which gives meaning, flavour and light to everything, even to hardship, suffering and death”.

The Pope went on to repeat the importance of reading a passage from the Gospel every day; of keeping it in our pockets, our bags, always at hand, as “everything makes sense when you find this treasure that Jesus called ‘the Kingdom of God’: that is, God Who reigns in your life, in our lives. God is love, peace and joy in every man and in all men. … Reading the Gospel means finding Jesus and receiving this Christian joy, which is a gift from the Holy Spirit”.

“The joy of encountering the treasure of the Kingdom of God becomes clear, it can be seen”, concluded the Pontiff. “The Christian cannot conceal his faith, as it shines through in every word and every gesture, even the simplest everyday ones. The love that God has given us through Jesus shines through. Let us pray, by the intercession of the Virgin Mary, that His Kingdom of love, justice and peace may come to us and to all the world”.

The demon will cause great division [schism] in the Church

4000-Message from Our Lady Queen of Peace, transmitted in 06/29/2014

Dear children, I am your Sorrowful Mother and I suffer for what comes to you. Bend your knees in prayer for the Church of My Jesus. A great disorder will shake the faith of many men and women. The demon will cause great division [schism] in the Church, but I ask you to keep burning the flame of your faith. Love and defend the truth. Stay with Jesus. Do not hold back. Here are the times I preached to you in the past. Pray. Only by the power of prayer can you achieve victory. The day comes when the book of truth [Bible] will be discarded and new ideologies will spread across the world. Hearken. Read and believe in the Gospel. This is the message I give you today in the name of the Holy Trinity. Thank you for permitting Me to reunite with you here once more. I bless you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Be at peace.

Francis Contradicts the Bible on Angels and Mankind

Excerpts from Francis general audience on 22 May 2014

2 .The first chapter of Genesis, at the very beginning of the Bible, shows us that God delights of His creation, by repeatedly emphasizing the beauty and goodness of all things. At the end of each day, it is written : “God saw that it was good” ( 1,12.18.21.25 ) …but if God sees that Creation is something good and beautiful, we too must have this attitude, we must see that Creation is something good and beautiful. The gift of knowledge, of this beauty, we have to thank God for having given us this gift, this beauty! This is the path…and when God finished creating man, He didn’t say that “it was good”, He said that it is “very good!”, He draws us close to Him. And in God’s eyes we are the greatest, the most beautiful, the best things about Creation…”But father the Angels? No the Angels are beneath us! We are more than the Angels! We heard it in the Book of the Psalms! God really loves us! We have to thank him for this!

Here is what the Bible says:

Thou hast made him a little less than the angels, thou hast crowned him with glory and honour:” (Psalms 8:6)

The Bible says mankind is less than Angels while Francis directly contradicts this and says we are more than the Angels. Who will you believe?

TO LISTEN TO JESUS, CARRY THE GOSPEL WITH YOU

FRANCIS: TO LISTEN TO JESUS, CARRY THE GOSPEL WITH YOU

Vatican City, 16 March 2014 (VIS) – At midday today the Holy Father appeared at the window of his study to pray the Angelus with the faithful gathered in St. Peter’s Square. On this, the second Sunday of Lent, Pope Francis reflected upon the Transfiguration of Christ and urged the faithful this week to “listen to Jesus” and to read a passage from the Gospel every day.

“We, as Jesus’ disciples, are called upon to be people who listen to His voice and take His words seriously. To listen to Jesus, we need to be near to Him, to follow Him, as did the crowds in the Gospel who ran after him through the streets of Palestine. … But we also listen to Jesus in his written Word, in the Gospel. Let me ask you a question: do you read a passage from the Gospel every day? Yes, no, yes, no, so-so. But it is important. It is a good idea to have a small Gospel, a pocket-sized Gospel that you can carry around with you, and to read a short passage from it at any time of the day. At any time in the day I take the Gospel out of my pocket and read a little something, a short passage. There we find Jesus, Who speaks to us, in the Gospel! Think about this. It is not difficult, and it is not even necessary to have all four of them: we can carry just one of the Gospels, a little copy, with us at all times. Let us always keep the Gospel with us, because it is the Word of Jesus, so that we can listen to Him at all times.

The Pope commented that, in order to share the Word of the Lord, we must learn to “ascend” in prayer and “descend” with fraternal charity, and he emphasised that this is a mission that involves the entire Church, all baptised persons. “In this episode of the Transfiguration, I would like to comment on two significant elements that can be summarised in two words – ascent and descent”, he said. “We need to take time out to climb the mountain in silent space, to find ourselves and to better hear the voice of the Lord. We do this in prayer. But we cannot remain there! The encounter with God in prayer inspires us to go back down the mountain, onto the plain, where we meet many brothers and sisters who are weighed down by fatigue, injustice, ignorance and poverty, both material and spiritual. We must bring to these brothers of ours who are in difficulty the fruits of our experience with God, sharing the grace we have received. And this is curious. When we hear the Word of Jesus, when we listen to the Word of Jesus and commit it to our hearts, that Word grows. And do you know how we make it grow? By giving it to others! The Word of Christ grows in us when we proclaim it, when we give it to others. And this is Christian life”.

Finally, the Bishop of Rome asked all those present to turn to the Mother of God and our Mother, invoking her guidance in our Lenten journey.

Signs to Watch For – Modern Updated Version of New Testament

Excerpts from Maria Divine Mercy

Mother of Salvation: This new and obscene imitation of the Word of God will have many believe that it is simply a modern updated version of the New Testament

Monday, December 23rd, 2013 @ 18:36

My child, the darkness will drop so suddenly over my Son’s Church, that many will be become instantly silent, so shocked will they be. My Son, Jesus Christ the King, will be declared to be no longer King.  In His place will be the elevated pagan gods and all religions, including those who do not come from God and all will take up position in my Son’s Church on Earth.

[Note: this is an essential part of Freemasonry – religious indifferentism. All religions and beliefs are welcome since it really doesn’t matter. Pope Leo XIII explains in Humanun Genus on Freemasonry:

16. If those who are admitted as members are not commanded to abjure by any form of words the Catholic doctrines, this omission, so far from being adverse to the designs of the Freemasons, is more useful for their purposes. First, in this way they easily deceive the simple-minded and the heedless, and can induce a far greater number to become members. Again, as all who offer themselves are received whatever may be their form of religion, they thereby teach the great error of this age-that a regard for religion should be held as an indifferent matter, and that all religions are alike. This manner of reasoning is calculated to bring about the ruin of all forms of religion, and especially of the Catholic religion, which, as it is the only one that is true, cannot, without great injustice, be regarded as merely equal to other religions.

17. But the naturalists go much further; for, having, in the highest things, entered upon a wholly erroneous course, they are carried headlong to extremes, either by reason of the weakness of human nature, or because God inflicts upon them the just punishment of their pride. Hence it happens that they no longer consider as certain and permanent those things which are fully understood by the natural light of reason, such as certainly are – the existence of God, the immaterial nature of the human soul, and its immortality. The sect of the Freemasons, by a similar course of error, is exposed to these same dangers; for, although in a general way they may profess the existence of God, they themselves are witnesses that they do not all maintain this truth with the full assent of the mind or with a firm conviction. Neither do they conceal that this question about God is the greatest source and cause of discords among them; in fact, it is certain that a considerable contention about this same subject has existed among them very lately. But, indeed, the sect allows great liberty to its votaries, so that to each side is given the right to defend its own opinion, either that there is a God, or that there is none; and those who obstinately contend that there is no God are as easily initiated as those who contend that God exists, though, like the pantheists, they have false notions concerning Him: all which is nothing else than taking away the reality, while retaining some absurd representation of the divine nature.]

To the world the new proclamation of so-called Christianity will seem to be good news. The world will rejoice, because many will welcome what they will see to be great tolerance for every kind of act, which up to then was deemed to be a sin in the Eyes of God. [Notice how there is no call to repentance in any of Francis’ words]

Soon, the Most Holy Book [Bible] will be discarded and a new blasphemous substitute will be declared to all, within my Son’s Church and outside of it. Many will be deceived. [Pope Leo XIII from Humanum Genus: 16. If those who are admitted as members are not commanded to abjure by any form of words the Catholic doctrines, this omission, so far from being adverse to the designs of the Freemasons, is more useful for their purposes. First, in this way they easily deceive the simple-minded and the heedless]

So cunning are my Son’s enemies that this new and obscene imitation of The Word of God will have many believe that it is simply a modern, updated version of the New Testament. My Son’s Word will be used and changed to mean something new – something He never said. The evil one, through the enemies of my Son, will always deceive the world by using the Truth as a base for lies. They will always attack what is True by working with the Truth, in order to defame my Son’s Word. [Note: the half-truth method. There has to be some truth otherwise it would be too easy to spot the lies]

… They crucified my Son before and now, as He comes again to renew the Earth, they will destroy the Holy Eucharist.  [Abomination of Desolation] All of those with faith must persevere during these terrible birth pangs, because when it is all over the Son of Man will rise and will come to reclaim His Kingdom on Earth. …

Retain Missals, Vestments and Holy Crosses

They must retain the Holy Missals, the vestments, the Holy Bible and the Holy Crosses. These will all be replaced

Saturday, August 17th, 2013

Those who are planning to inflict suffering upon humanity, as part of a covenant with the beast, will be careful not to be seen to denounce these Messages publicly, as by doing so, they will give credence to them. Instead, they will spread hatred against Me in other ways, starting by destroying the faith of those within My Church. They will turn the hearts of those who love Me against their fellow Christians. They will embrace pagans, new age witches and worshipers of the beast, rather than Christians, who will object to the vile pagan rituals, which will be performed in Catholic Churches and soon other Christian churches.

These events are still to come. Please do not think that the current Holy Masses or Sacraments have changed yet, although they will change very soon. When they do, you must turn your back and defend Me.

Much change has been planned for the last few years by the evil of Masonry in My Church on Earth. Now their plans, already made known within the highest ranks in the churches, are about to be announced. They will be unveiled with the announcement that the Catholic Church is being modernized, so that it can become relevant in today’s new, open-minded, liberal society. It will say, it will be putting the past behind and it will then say that its motto will be to embrace all creeds, to show that it is not narrow in attitude. This announcement will be celebrated all over the world and the media will cover this great news on its front pages, when before it viewed the Catholic Church with distaste.

The seed of Satan will be spent and the new ceremonies, where the format of the Holy Masses will be presented backwards, but all the correct phrases relating to My Passion will be substituted with nonsense – empty words – empty vessels – empty tabernacles. All My Crosses will be replaced with the secret symbols of the occult.

This is the desolation spoken of to the prophet Daniel. This is the end of My Holy Eucharist and the end of the Mass, as you know it, in many places. But My beloved loyal servants will prepare now, the production of the Holy Hosts. They must retain the Holy Missals, the vestments, the Holy Bible and the Holy Crosses. These will all be replaced.

You must gather soon and plan, for you will not be allowed to say Mass according to My Will.

You will be shocked at how quickly the seemingly innocent, renewed, but contaminated, Church will descend into a wicked cult. They will go to extraordinary lengths to punish those who will defy their man made, pagan, new world religion.

Read the full prophecy there.

Atheists are Redeemed Just by “Doing Good”

Francis indicates that faith in God is not necessary, i.e. atheism, just “do good.” The Bible and catechism say otherwise:

Bible (Douay-Rheims)

Psalm 14[13]:1 “Unto the end, a psalm for David. The fool hath said in his heart: There is no God, They are corrupt, and are become abominable in their ways: there is none that doth good, no not one.

Baltimore Catechism #3

Q. 472. What mortal sins are opposed to Faith?

A. Atheism, which is a denial of all revealed truths, and heresy, which is a denial of some revealed truths, and superstition, which is a misuse of religion, are opposed to Faith.

Q. 1164. How does a person sin against faith?

A. A person sins against faith:

  1. By not trying to know what God has taught;
  2. By refusing to believe all that God has taught;
  3. By neglecting to profess his belief in what God has taught.

Summa Theologica

First Part of the Second Part > Question 109

Objection 1. It would seem that man can wish and do good without grace. For that is in man’s power, whereof he is master. Now man is master of his acts, and especially of his willing, as stated above (1, 1; 13, 6). Hence man, of himself, can wish and do good without the help of grace.

On the contrary, The Apostle says (Romans 9:16): “It is not of him that willeth,” namely, to will, “nor of him that runneth,” namely to run, “but of God that showeth mercy.” And Augustine says (De Corrept. et Gratia ii) that “without grace men do nothing good when they either think or wish or love or act.

Put simply, atheists who do not repent have rejected salvation.

Pope at Mass: Culture of encounter is the foundation of peace

(Vatican Radio) “Doing good” is a principle that unites all humanity, beyond the diversity of ideologies and religions, and creates the “culture of encounter” that is the foundation of peace: this is what Pope said at Mass this morning at the Domus Santae Martae, in the presence of employees of the Governorate of Vatican City. Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rai, Patriarch of Antioch of the Maronites, concelebrated at the Mass.

Wednesday’s Gospel speaks to us about the disciples who prevented a person from outside their group from doing good. “They complain,” the Pope said in his homily, because they say, “If he is not one of us, he cannot do good. If he is not of our party, he cannot do good.” And Jesus corrects them: “Do not hinder him, he says, let him do good.” The disciples, Pope Francis explains, “were a little intolerant,” closed off by the idea of possessing the truth, convinced that “those who do not have the truth, cannot do good.” “This was wrong . . . Jesus broadens the horizon.” Pope Francis said, “The root of this possibility of doing good – that we all have – is in creation”:

“The Lord created us in His image and likeness, and we are the image of the Lord, and He does good and all of us have this commandment at heart: do good and do not do evil. All of us. ‘But, Father, this is not Catholic! He cannot do good.’ Yes, he can. He must. Not can: must! Because he has this commandment within him. Instead, this ‘closing off’ that imagines that those outside, everyone, cannot do good is a wall that leads to war and also to what some people throughout history have conceived of: killing in the name of God. That we can kill in the name of God. And that, simply, is blasphemy. To say that you can kill in the name of God is blasphemy.”

“Instead,” the Pope continued, “the Lord has created us in His image and likeness, and has given us this commandment in the depths of our heart: do good and do not do evil”:

“The Lord has redeemed all of us, all of us, with the Blood of Christ: all of us, not just Catholics. Everyone! ‘Father, the atheists?’ Even the atheists. Everyone! And this Blood makes us children of God of the first class! We are created children in the likeness of God and the Blood of Christ has redeemed us all! And we all have a duty to do good. And this commandment for everyone to do good, I think, is a beautiful path towards peace. If we, each doing our own part, if we do good to others, if we meet there, doing good, and we go slowly, gently, little by little, we will make that culture of encounter: we need that so much. We must meet one another doing good. ‘But I don’t believe, Father, I am an atheist!’ But do good: we will meet one another there.”

“Doing good” the Pope explained, is not a matter of faith: “It is a duty, it is an identity card that our Father has given to all of us, because He has made us in His image and likeness. And He does good, always.”

This was the final prayer of Pope Francis:

“Today is [the feast of] Santa Rita, Patron Saint of impossible things – but this seems impossible: let us ask of her this grace, this grace that all, all, all people would do good and that we would encounter one another in this work, which is a work of creation, like the creation of the Father. A work of the family, because we are all children of God, all of us, all of us! And God loves us, all of us! May Santa Rita grant us this grace, which seems almost impossible. Amen.”

HEART OF OUR FAITH IS NOT JUST A BOOK BUT A SALVATION HISTORY

POPE TO BIBLICAL COMMISSION: HEART OF OUR FAITH IS NOT JUST A BOOK BUT A SALVATION HISTORY

Vatican City, 12 April 2013 (VIS) – This morning, the Holy Father received the members of the Pontifical Biblical Commission with their president, Archbishop Gerhard Ludwig Muller, prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, at the conclusion of their annual plenary assembly, which had the theme of “Inspiration and Truth in the Bible”.

In his address to them, the Pope emphasized that this theme “affects not only the individual believer but the whole Church, for the Church’s life and mission are founded on the Word of God, which is the soul of theology as well as the inspiration of all of Christian existence.”

“Sacred Scripture,” he reaffirmed,“ is the written testimony of the divine Word, the canonical memory that attests to the event of Revelation. However, the Word of God precedes the Bible and surpasses it. That is why the centre of our faith isn’t just a book, but a salvation history and above all a person, Jesus Christ, the Word of God made flesh. It is precisely because the Word of God embraces and extends beyond Scripture that, in order to properly understand it, the Holy Spirit’s constant presence, who guides us “to all truth”, is necessary. It is necessary to place ourselves within the great Tradition that has, with the Holy Spirit’s assistance and the Magisterium’s guidance, recognized the canonical writings as the Word that God addresses to his people, who have never ceased meditating upon it and discovering inexhaustible riches from it.”

The pontiff recalled that Vatican Council II repeated this very clearly in the dogmatic constitution “Dei Verbum”: “All of what has been said about the way of interpreting Scripture is subject finally to the judgement of the Church, which carries out the divine commission and ministry of guarding and interpreting the word of God.” “In fact, Sacred Scripture is the Word of God in that it is written down under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Sacred Tradition, instead, transmits the Word of God in its entirety, entrusted by Christ the Lord and by the Holy spirit to the Apostles and their successors, so that these, enlightened by the Spirit of truth, might faithfully preserve it with their preaching, might expound and propound it.”

“The interpretation of Sacred Scriptures cannot be just an individual academic effort, but must always be compared to, inserted within, and authenticated by the living tradition of the Church. This norm is essential in identifying the proper and reciprocal relationship between the exegesis and the Magisterium of the Church. The texts that God inspired were entrusted to the Community of believers, the Church of Christ, to nourish the faith and to guide the life of charity.”

The Bishop of Rome bid the members of the Biblical Commission farewell, thanking them for their work and expressing the desire that this Year of Faith “may help to make the light of Sacred Scripture shine within the hearts of the faithful.”

Bible Prophecy about the False Prophet – Book of Daniel

Bible Prophecy about the False Prophet – Book of Daniel

Daniel chapter 8

[9] And out of one of them came forth a little horn: and it became great against the south, and against the east, and against the strength.

[10] And it was magnified even unto the strength of heaven: and it threw down of the strength, and of the stars, and trod upon them.

[11] And it was magnified even to the prince of the strength: and it took away from him the continual sacrifice, and cast down the place of his sanctuary.

[12] And strength was given him against the continual sacrifice, because of sins: and truth shall be cast down on the ground, and he shall do and shall prosper.

[13] And I heard one of the saints speaking, and one saint said to another, I know not to whom that was speaking: How long shall be the vision, concerning the continual sacrifice, and the sin of the desolation that is made: and the sanctuary, and the strength be trodden under foot?

[14] And he said to him: Unto evening and morning two thousand three hundred days: and the sanctuary shall be cleansed.

Notes from Douay Rheims Bible, along with additional commentary regarding our End Times / Latter Days:

A little horn (first fulfillment): Antiochus Epiphanes, a descendant of Seleucus. He grew against the south, and the east, by his victories over the kings of Egypt and Armenia: and against the strength, that is, against Jerusalem and the people of God.

Application to End Times: The little horn is the False Prophet, while the bigger horn would be the Antichrist. The horn itself is a symbol of power and authority. As the man who appears to be head of the Catholic Church and the man who will establish the one world pagan new age church, the False Prophet will wield power and authority second only to the the Antichrist, as also described in Revelation 13:12-13 “And he executed all the power of the former beast [Antichrist] in his sight; and he caused the earth, and them that dwell therein, to adore the first beast [Antichrist], whose wound to death was healed. And he [False Prophet] did great signs, so that he made also fire to come down from heaven unto the earth in the sight of men.”

Against the south, … east, and against the strength: South represents the good faithful people, while north represents evil-doers. Who is north of Jerusalem? Russia and Moscow, the instigators of communism, who will spread their errors throughout the world as Our Lady prophesied at Fatima. Recall the Queen of Sheba came from the south seeking wisdom of Solomon, who was the king of the people of God at that time. In general, north is cold and south is warm, and those temperatures reflect the love in the soul.  “And because iniquity hath abounded, the charity of many shall grow cold.” (Matthew 24:12)

The east is the direction of the rising of the sun, the coming of the light, and the sun represents the Son of God. Traditionally, all Catholic church buildings would orient the altar to face East such that the priest and people would face East during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for this reason.

Unto the strength of heaven: or, against the strength of heaven. So are here called the army of the Jews, the people of God.

Application to End Times: now the people of God are the New Israel, that is the Catholics in all nations.

Even to the prince of the strength:  This can be interpreted doubly, once for the Antichrist, and again for the False Prophet. Jesus being the Prince of Peace will be attacked in His Divinity by the Antichrist (Maitreya) who will claim to be Divine and the Messiah, saying that Jesus was merely a human prophet and one of his disciples. Islam denies the Divinity of Jesus Christ also, as do the other major pagan religions. Regarding the False prophet, the prince of the strength of the people of God is the Pope, hence satan will overthrow the papacy by getting the False Prophet installed as an anti-pope at the head of the Church such that it appears that he is a valid pope. Cardinals are commonly called Princes of the Church, and the Pope is the head above them. Since the Pope is the Vicar of Christ, a prime minister so to speak, with Jesus being the King of Kings, one can consider the Pope His Prince, His son, in this sense.

It took away from him the continual sacrifice and the continual sacrifice: in the Old Testament, Antiochus Epiphanies took away the animal sacrifice of the Jews as documented in the Books of Maccabees (Machabees) in the Bible. When the Romans conquered Jerusalem in 70AD, the animal sacrifices in the Temple of Jerusalem were eliminated and have not been re-established until this day. The discussion of re-establishing them is a sign that the Antichrist is here. In the Catholic era, the continual sacrifice is the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, which is the re-presentation of the one Sacrifice on Calvary since God is not limited by time. So this points to the False Prophet, as an anti-pope, corrupting the Mass such that it becomes merely a pagan entertainment ritual, thus invalidating the Mass, hence ending the perpetual Sacrifice. However, the true Mass will continue to be offered in the underground Remnant Church, so the Sacrifice will be reduced but not altogether entirely eliminated, but will be removed from public worship.

Unto evening and morning two thousand three hundred days (first fulfillment): That is, six years and almost four months: which was the whole time from the beginning of the persecution of Antiochus till his death.

End times application: what is interesting is that Maitreya the Antichrist said that he started appearing on TV interviews under a different name in January 2010. This may be the start of his calendar also.
