Inequality, Evil, And Worldly Thinking

This is merely another sales pitch to help eliminate sin by saying that sin doesn’t really matter. That will be more formally promoted after the coming Synod.

There are “bat-like Christians” who prefer the shadows to the light of the Lord

Francis: There are “bat-like Christians” who prefer the shadows to the light of the Lord

2014-04-25 Vatican Radio

(Vatican Radio) Pope Francis said there are Christians who are afraid of the joy of Christ’s resurrection and who instead prefer sadness and staying in the shadows just like bats. The importance of Christians being joyful, rather than sad or fearful, was the focus of the Pope’s reflections during his homily at Thursday’s Mass celebrated in the Santa Marta residence.

Taking his cue from the gospel reading of the risen Christ appearing before his disciples, Pope Francis began by noting how instead of rejoicing over his resurrection, the disciples were struck by fear instead of joy.

“This is a Christian’s disease. We’re afraid of joy. It’s better to think: Yes, yes, God exists, but He is there. Jesus has risen and He is there. Somewhat distant. We’re afraid of being close to Jesus because this gives us joy. And this is why there are so many ‘funeral’ (mournful) Christians, isn’t it? Those whose lives seem to be a perpetual funeral. They prefer sadness to joy. They move about better in the shadows, not in the light of joy, like those animals who only come out at night, not in the light of day, who can’t see anything. Like bats. And with a little sense of humour we can say that there are Christian bats who prefer the shadows to the light of the presence of the Lord.”

But, the Pope continued, Jesus through his resurrection, gives us joy, the joy of being Christians and following him closely, the joy of travelling on the path of the Beatitudes.

“So often, we are either upset by this joy or fearful or we think we have seen a ghost or believe that Jesus is just a way of behaving. ‘We are Christians and so we must behave like this.’ But where is Jesus? ‘No, Jesus is in Heaven.’ Do you talk with Jesus? Do you say to Jesus: ‘I believe that You are alive, that You are risen, that You’re near me. That You will never abandon me’? A Christian life should be this: a dialogue with Jesus, because – this is true – Jesus is always with us, always there alongside us with our problems and our difficulties, with our good works.”

Pope Francis concluded by noting how many times we Christians are not joyful because we are afraid! We’re Christians who have been defeated by the Cross.

“In my country there is a saying that goes like this: ‘When you get burnt by boiling milk, later when you see a cow you start crying.’ These people were burnt by the drama of the Cross and said, ‘No, let’s stop here. He’s in Heaven: that’s all well and good. He is Risen but it’s better that he doesn’t come again because we couldn’t handle it.’ We ask the Lord to do for all of us what he did for the disciples who were afraid of joy: to open our minds: ‘He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures;’ Let him open our minds and help us understand that He is a living reality, that He has a body, that He is with us,that he accompanies us and that He has won. We ask the Lord for the grace to not be afraid of joy.”

Piddling Over Catholicism.

A black day indeed. St. Faustina’s worst day of suffering was the day he was born, and Jesus informed her that it was the nativity of the False Prophet.

The pattern is always the same.

The Bishop of Rome inadvertently – or not, as the case may be – piddles outside of the urinal, and leaves a huge pool of stinking liquid material. The world get very excited at the urine pool, and praises the modern pope whose style of piddling is so different from his predecessors'.

The cleaning squad (generally Fr Lombardi and/or Fr Rosica) then intervenes, has the urine pool cleaned, and issues a press release along the following lines: “The Pontiff is supposed to piddle in the urinal. We confirm this is what the urinal has always been for. We aren't there when the Pope piddles, and can therefore not say exactly what has happened. It is not true that the Pope plans to abolish urinals, but we cannot comment as to the Pope's piddling style.”

Then they go to Francis and implore him to do…

DO NOT SEEK THE LIVING AMONG THE DEAD

POPE FRANCIS: DO NOT SEEK THE LIVING AMONG THE DEAD

Vatican City, April 2014 (VIS) – “Why do you seek the living one among the dead?”. With this question Pope Francis began his first catechesis following Holy Week, on the feast of St. George, the Holy Father’s name day. He continued, “How often we look for life among dead things, things that cannot give life, that are here today and gone tomorrow!”.

The Pope explained that these words help us “when we close ourselves within any form of selfishness or complacency; when we allow ourselves to be seduced by earthly powers and the things of this world, forgetting God and neighbour; when we place our trust in worldly vanities, in money, in success”, and he commented that for us, as for Thomas and Mary Magdalene, “it is not easy to open oneself to Jesus; it is not obvious to accept he life of the Risen Christ and His presence among us”.

“This question helps us resist the temptation to look back, to what was yesterday, and pushes us forward into the future. … Today this question is also addressed to us. You, why are you looking among the dead for one who is alive? You, who close in on yourself after a failure or who no longer have the strength to pray? You who feel alone, abandoned by friends, and perhaps even by God? You who have lost hope or you who feel imprisoned by your sins? You who aspire to beauty, spiritual perfection, justice, peace?”.

“We need to hear ourselves repeat and remind each other of the angel’s admonition”, concluded the Holy Father, “since it helps us to emerge from our moments of sadness and opens up horizons of joy and hope. That hope that removes stones from graves and encourages us to proclaim the Good News, capable of generating new life for others. … Let us not seek among those many tombs that promise everything and give nothing!”.

BUDDHISTS AND CHRISTIANS: TOGETHER FOSTERING FRATERNITY

[Mere humanism. Why would Catholic celebrate a founder of a man-made pagan religion?]

BUDDHISTS AND CHRISTIANS: TOGETHER FOSTERING FRATERNITY

Vatican City, April 2014 (VIS) – Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran and Fr. Miguel Angel Ayuso Guixot, M.C.C.J., respectively president and secretary of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, have signed the message that this dicastery sends each year to followers of Buddhism on the festival of Vesakh.

Vesakh is the principal Buddhist holy day that commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and death of Gautama Buddha. According to tradition, the historical Buddha was born, achieved enlightenment and passed away during the full moon of the month of May; therefore, the date on which Vesakh is celebrated varies from year to year and from country to country. On those days, Buddhists visit local temples to offer the monks food and to hear the teachings of the Buddha, taking special care to meditate and to observe the eight precepts of Buddhism.

This year’s message is entitled: “Buddhists and Christians: Together Fostering Fraternity”. Extensive extracts from the text are published below:

“Our cordial greetings this year are inspired by Pope Francis’ Message for the World Day of Peace 2014, entitled Fraternity, the Foundation and Pathway to Peace. There, Pope Francis observes that ‘fraternity is an essential human quality, for we are relational beings. A lively awareness of our relatedness helps us to look upon and to treat each person as a true sister or brother; without fraternity it is impossible to build a just society and a solid and lasting peace.

Your religious tradition inspires the conviction that friendly relations, dialogue, the sharing of gifts, and the respectful and harmonious exchange of views lead to attitudes of kindness and love which in turn generate authentic and fraternal relationships. You are also convinced that the root of all evil is the ignorance and misunderstanding born of greed and hatred, which in turn destroy the bonds of fraternity. Unfortunately, ‘daily acts of selfishness, which are at the root of so many wars and so much injustice’, prevent us from seeing others ‘as beings made for reciprocity, for communion and self-giving’.

As Buddhists and Christians, we live in a world all too often torn apart by oppression, selfishness, tribalism, ethnic rivalry, violence and religious fundamentalism, a world where the ‘other’ is treated as an inferior, a non-person, or someone to be feared and eliminated if possible. Yet, we are called, in a spirit of cooperation with other pilgrims and with people of good will, to respect and to defend our shared humanity in a variety of socio-economic, political and religious contexts. Drawing upon our different religious convictions, we are called especially to be outspoken in denouncing all those social ills which damage fraternity; to be healers who enable others to grow in selfless generosity, and to be reconcilers who break down the walls of division and foster genuine brotherhood between individuals and groups in society.

Our world today is witnessing a growing sense of our common humanity and a global quest for a more just, peaceful and fraternal world. But the fulfilment of these hopes depends on a recognition of universal values. [Since Jesus is THE Truth, Way and Life, only His Values are appropriate, not some common denominator of a false man-made religion] We hope that interreligious dialogue will contribute, in the recognition of the fundamental principles of universal ethics, to fostering a renewed and deepened sense of unity and fraternity among all the members of the human family. Indeed, ‘each one of us is called to be an artisan of peace, by uniting and not dividing, by extinguishing hatred and not holding on to it, by opening paths to dialogue and not by constructing new walls! Let us dialogue and meet each other in order to establish a culture of dialogue in the world, a culture of encounter!’.

To build a world of fraternity, it is vitally important that we join forces to educate people, particularly the young, to seek fraternity, to live in fraternity and to dare to build fraternity. We pray that your celebration of Vesakh will be an occasion to rediscover and promote fraternity anew, especially in our divided societies”.

Expect a great schism after the October Synod

Brief Excerpt from Creative Minority Report

“We know that as a result, many many people now think, rightly or wrongly, that the Pope has signaled that it is legitimate for the divorced and remarried to return to communion.”

Of course. This is the error promoted by Cardinal Kasper, who is one of the favorites of Francis. The upcoming Synod in October 2014 will likely approve of this.

By her and through her, each soul goes to Jesus in a much easier way than without her

By her and through her, each soul goes to Jesus in a much easier way than without her

Maximilian Kolbe, a Polish Conventual Franciscan friar, volunteered to die in the place of a family man in the Nazi concentration camp of Auschwitz. As a child, he had a vision of the Virgin of Czestochowa, who appeared to him and presented him with two crowns, one white, the other red, as symbols of purity and martyrdom.

As she invited him to choose one, his generous heart prompted him to accept them both. Later on that day, this beloved child of the Virgin Mary resolved in his heart to “become better day after day.” (…)

The writings of Saint Louis de Montfort taught him that “God wishes to reveal Mary, his masterpiece, and make her more known in these latter times, when Mary must shine forth more than ever in mercy, power and grace” (Treatise on True Devotion to the Virgin Mary).

Maximilian gave his life to the Virgin Mary, saying: “As the Immaculate belongs to Jesus and to God, each soul can belong to Jesus and to God by her and through her, in a much easier way than without her.” (…) He was ordained on April 28, 1918.

Woe to the sinner who incurs My Wrath when he tries to elevate himself above Me

God the Father: It is better that you endure this spiritual pain now, than in the eternal flames

My dearest daughter, the forces of evil are getting stronger by the day, as the hour of My Son’s Great Mercy will descend without warning.

Those men, amongst you, who do not accept My Son, will be enveloped into every Ray of His Mercy, so suddenly, that few of you will understand what has been poured upon you, such will the Force of His Divine Presence be. Those of you, with hatred in your hearts, will feel great pain and anguish. You will experience, thrice over, the same pain that you inflicted upon My children, for make no mistake, the Warning is a form of Judgment. You will witness the pain and intense suffering, which you would endure, were you to be cast into the fires of Hell. Many of you will find the Warning to be excruciatingly painful. Yet, you must welcome My Gift, for it is better that you endure this spiritual pain now, than in the eternal flames.

I strive to prepare you, through My Blessed Mission, so that I won’t lose one soul. My last Mission on Earth – where I gave the authority, in the form of the Most Holy and Blessed Trinity – will be opposed fiercely, as it continues on its journey to salvage souls, before the Great Day. No other mission, since my Son’s Crucifixion, will be hated as much as this one. Woe to those of you who oppose Me, your Eternal Father, for should you spit in My Face, with a foul tongue, I will punish you.

I will not permit, for long, the hatred and the blasphemies, which you misguided sinners throw at Me. When you try to stop Me, in My Quest to save all of you from the evil one, you will suffer greatly, because of the souls who will be lost to Me because of you.

My Divinity will not be crushed, nor will the Coming of My Son be stopped. No one has the power to do this. The man who tries to place himself between the sinner and Me, the Eternal Father, with the intention of misleading that soul into denying My Word, will be stopped.

I Am the Truth. I Am the Beginning and I Am the End. My Love for all My children is great, but woe to the sinner who incurs My Wrath when he tries to elevate himself above Me. I will crush the heads of the proud-hearted sacred servants who steal souls from Me, through heresy. I will destroy those whose actions will mislead souls into grave error. Not for one second must you misinterpret My Warning, for when I Am driven to intervene in the salvation of souls, those enemies of Mine will be crushed to the ground.

My Powerful Interventions have begun and soon, few of you, who hear My Voice, through these Messages, will doubt again, for you will bear witness to every prophecy contained in My Book of Truth.

Go and be thankful for My Great Mercy. Accept My Interventions, for they will help to bring the world to its senses. Only after the purification will man be able to truly listen to My Voice.

Your Eternal Father

God the Most High
